And here's number two out of 145: Pelgrim

And heres number two out of 145 pelgrim21 March 2017
Hailing from Tilburg, the Netherlands, PELGRIM combine the heavy vocals and pounding rhythms of djent and metalcore with the technicality and creativity of the progressive scene, resulting in a refreshing sound of their own. With an outstanding and energetic live performance, PELGRIM offer a challenging musical approach based on great songs that can be enjoyed by a broad audience.

The band is not just interested in metal genres but in a wide range of other music as well (electronic, jazz, classical music, various ethnical styles). Therefore PELGRIM's music has a wide scope. Their first release, a selftitled EP in 2013, received an incredible amount of positive feedback. Metal From NL described their sound as follows: ‘Technical but groovy. Complicated music? Absolutely. Difficult to listen to? Absolutely not!’. Pig Squeals and Breakdowns rated their EP a 4,5/5: 'You ever listen to an album that is too good to put into words? Yeah, this is what this EP is to me'. Since their selftitled EP has been released, PELGRIM played countless shows in 5 different countries with bands like Textures, Sworn In, Martyr Defiled and I Declare War.

After a few setbacks, a change in band members and a lot of hard work, PELGRIM were determined to show their will power and endurance with their first full-length album called Ephemera, released in February of 2016. This eight track album does not only showcase their musical abilities, but also how much the band has grown since they released their EP. With a Buma ROCKS! showcase at FortaRock In The City, PELGRIM are ready to start writing a new chapter in their history.
